The Ghost behind the craft

Welcome to my website. I’m the ghost behind the craft.

I’ve had a pencil in my hand since I was old enough to hold one. I was constantly drawing people, then I began designing clothes for them to wear. I knew I wanted to get my BTEC in fashion and design; I was already upcycling and making clothes for myself and my family.

As a neurodivergent person, I’ve always struggled to maintain society’s expectations of normality. Every day, I struggle to do even the smallest of tasks; I will never be able to be employed due to all my ongoing lifelong diagnoses.

I’ve used many online pseudonyms over the years, each of them containing a deathly vibe; the original being ‘dead crafty’. I modelled my dead cafty creations on Instagram as ‘ghost of the world’. In 2021, I lost access to all of my social media accounts and had to start again. This is how ‘the dead crafty ghost’ was born, a union of both identities.

Alternative fashion can be expensive, whilst also attempting to sell itself to the general market. When looking for clothes myself, I look for something that stands away from the masses, and doesn’t make my credit card cry! So here I am creating just that.

I hope you like my designs and choose to support me on my journey, whether you purchase something or follow one of my social accounts; where you can message me for custom artistic pieces and give suggestions on product designs. I’d love to bring not only my dreams to life but yours as well.
